The Importance of CELEBRATING your PROGRESS!

How ironic (+ pretty screwed up, TBH...) is it that we're SO BUSY searching for positive reinforcement (read: validation) from:

‍ ...our bosses...

...our besties... ‍‍

‍‍‍ ...our partners...

‍‍ ...our parents...

‍ ...that one co-worker we don't actually like but still weirdly feel the need to impress...

-- that we basically forget to spend ANY energy/time on celebrating our own progress along the way?

The truth is, we're often so preoccupied with trying to impress everyone else (usually with the best intentions!) - OR so focused on what's up next (on the to-do list, in the inbox, answering the kiddo's)...

...that we don't even give our inner cheerleader the game-time to shineeee!!!

+ even when we do, we usually keep the 'megaphone' reserved for our critiques, instead of our triumphs...

...yikes...
